Bernie Maloney

Bernie Maloney grew up on Long Island New York and at a very young age started playing saxophone in local big bands and eventually found a home in smaller groups. Through College he then studied briefly with Al Gallodoro, Bobby Dransite and Roe Colletta on flute. He relocated to Tamp Bay in 1991, and quickly began playing with various groups, founded the Bernie Maloney Quartet (BMQ), played Bari Sax for several years in the Sinatra Rat Pack Tribute Band, and co-managed the Cigar City Big Band. After forming the After Five Big Band Bernie downsized the band to form the current After Five Jazz group.
Bernie is an endorser for Bari Woodwinds and plays Bari Woodwinds mouthpieces and reeds exclusively.

Andy DePasquale

Jazz guitarist Andy DePasquale (Andy D) grew up immersed in the New York City jazz scene of the 70’s and 80’s. He started his pursuit of the music as a teenager, under the guidance of the legendary Chuck Wayne. Ultimately, he became a disciple of Philadelphia’s great guitar virtuoso Jimmy Bruno, studying with him for number of years. During that time, he recorded two CDs and played numerous gigs around the NY/NJ area. He relocated to Tampa Bay in 2012, and has been part of the jazz scene here ever since. He has most recently been appearing with the jazz group After Five.
